The former IPV has been known as the Academy of Veterinary Medicine or AcVetMed for short since 2021, this as a result of the ‘Lifelong Learning’(LLL) project of Ghent University and Nova:Academy. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine puts the health and welfare of the animal and, linked to that, of humans and the ecosystem, at the heart of everything it does. It aims to provide a collegial and stimulating environment for its students and staff where academic independence and integrity are core values.
